Dear Friends,

The last few months have been full of blessings! First of all, my students have been able to attend school three days a week instead of two. I still have eighth and ninth grade on Monday/Wednesday and seventh grade on Tuesday/Thursday, but all three grades come on Fridays. It has been an adjustment having all twenty-two students at the same time. I have to plan every minute precisely so I can get all the lessons in for all the subjects for all three grades. I have to make sure everyone is occupied while I’m working with the other grades. Sometimes it gets a little crazy, but I feel that we have all
adjusted and are doing our best, which is all that I can ask.

Another blessing has been the spiritual growth of the teenage girls on my bus route. I know I have mentioned them a few times over the last few months. Michelle and Tatiana have been baptized a while now. But recently, one of my other girls has also been baptized. The three of them expressed their desire to attend evangelism, but I had noticed that they were very limited on church attire. My bus route partner and I decided to take them shopping. We got permission from their parents, and then had a girls’ day out. We took them to the city and let each girl pick out a few outfits for evangelism and church and we took them to supper. They had so much fun and were ecstatic about their new outfits. Since then,
they have faithfully attended evangelism along with the regular church activities every week. They are going through discipleship programs and are helping me as assistant “bus workers” on my route for a trial period. In February, my bus captain is going to assign the girls their own routes and they will be official route workers. I am thrilled to see the growth in Michelle, Tatiana, and Sofia. Please continue to pray for them as they grow in their walk with the Lord!

November is always an exciting month for me. We call it missions month. Pastor Hodges picks four countries for us to focus on. Each Sunday the different routes decorate the church and present a drama and a song about missions. We dress up in traditional dress for each country, and we serve semi-authentic food to represent each of the four countries. It is a great time to refocus and remember the reason behind what we do. This year was especially exciting for me as several teens from different routes asked to participate in this year’s preparations. It’s been exciting to see all the young people getting involved and wanting to serve the Lord. We also recently hosted a conference at our church in Honduras. We had several churches from all over Central America come and participate in the conference. I was surprised to see so many young people. By the end of the week, over 50 young people had surrendered their lives to full time ministry, including my three teenage girls.

I’m so excited to see God at work in our ministry. Please pray that we can be wise leaders of those young
people that He has given into our care.
