Dear Friends,

During the last few weeks, a lot has happened. First of all, we finished out our school year with online classes. Thankfully, since we use Abeka, the students were able to use the online program that they offer in order to finish the year. We also finished the seminary school year with a piano recital and a banquet. Since I teach the seminary students’ piano lessons, it is always very rewarding (albeit a bit nerve-wracking) to watch them perform the pieces they have worked so hard on for their fellow classmates.

I was very relieved for the school year to be over. I definitely needed the break. However, my parents and I decided that it was not a wise decision to head to the USA during my summer vacation. There were still a lot of restrictions on traveling, and we weren’t even sure that if I made it to the USA that I would be able to make it back to Honduras in order to start the next school year. But I stayed busy! I still helped drive for Bible clubs and house services every week. I also started packing. The house I had been renting for the past two years had become more of a frustration due to a variety of problems that the landlord was not willing to fix. I had been looking for a new place since the beginning of the year, but I hadn’t had a lot of time to dedicate to looking for a new place. But then, circumstances dictated that I had to be out of that house by September 1. I began looking for a new place in earnest. Thankfully, after much prayer, some friends helped me find a nice little house. When moving day came, I had many friends that came out to help me move my belongings and make it possible for me to make the deadline of being out by September 1. I was grateful for all the help!.

Me and kids who were savedWe have continued to have church services in a small area off to the side of our main auditorium. Thankfully, we have had no problems. Our congregation has been very small compared to our “pre-COVID” services, but over the last month, it has been steadily growing again as the restrictions become laxer. We have heard rumors that busses should be able to run again soon. Although I have not been able to run my bus route, I have still been visiting them as often as possible. They are anxious for the bus routes to start running again, and they constantly tell me how much they miss church. I am so thankful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of these children!

Thank you for your prayers during this time of uncertainty. God has shown himself real to me in so many ways during the quarantine. I also want to thank you for your continual support. I know that money has been tight for many people because of the quarantine, but through you, God has continually provided for my needs and the needs of many families here as well. God bless!
